Hinge:
All We Need Is Us
Hinge is the dating app "Designed to Be Deleted," which is why Hingie, the brand's mascot, dies in every ad. Usually it's a big, dramatic death. But this time, we wanted him to go quietly, because real connection isn't always grand gestures and fireworks. It's cleaning up after a party together. It's gardening or even going to the dentist together. It's doing absolutely nothing as a couple and feeling great about it. Those are the moments you're actually building a life with someone. And without the couple even noticing, those are the ordinary moments that kill Hingie. Slowly, but thoroughly.
To make these simple, in-between moments feel real, we cast real couples instead of actors and built real puppets using only practical effects and handmade materials. No AI. Just a lot of glue guns, fabrics, and patience.
Through these stories, Hinge hopes to inspire daters as they pursue meaningful relationships of their own, reminding them that connection is often built in the smallest moments.
The campaign spanned streaming platforms, cinemas, social, OOH, and experiential across the UK, France, Germany, and Sweden, celebrating the mundane nothing moments that quietly turn into everything.
